Self-Care in Difficult Time: Shiatsu, Acupressure & Qi Gong with Jenny
March 23 @ 4:00 pm GMT
An event every week that begins at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until 24th August 2021
Shiatsu Connects Online self-care for health and well-being.
Shiatsu is a touch therapy based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupressure and energy psychology. In these touch deprived times, Jenny White, from Shiatsu Connects, is offering regular online sessions on Tuesdays at 4pm and Thursday at 6pm.
These sessions are drop-in and suitable for beginners and all physical abilities. Jenny gently guides you through range of self-care techniques based on Shiatsu theory and practices, focusing on supporting your physical and emotional well-being. She tailors the sessions to the needs of the group and takes requests so that these sessions are useful and relevant to the needs of the individual and the group.
Tuesday 4pm / Thursday 6pm.
Cost: £5-10 person. £3 for very low waged/financially challenged. (Cost of Guest teachers classes are not included in the MSPS subscription)
In each hour-long session:
• We start with some simple movement to connect, warm up and regulate the nervous system.
• Meridian exercises and qi gong to support and balance the mind and body.
• Acupressure points to address a range of conditions, e.g. insomnia, headaches and migraines, digestive issues, stress and anxiety.
• At the end of each session, we have a Q&A discussion and time for a chat, to connect as a community.
Shiatsu exercises and acupressure can be used in daily life as ‘bite-size chunks’ which can be used as part of a daily routine to encourage physical and emotional well-being; or when experiencing physical aches and pains; or when some emotional ‘first-aid’ is needed during times of stress and anxiety.

What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu is a hands-on Japanese touch therapy (acupressure massage) which can support you to deal with the stresses and strains, and aches and pains that may occur in everyday life. It can help with physical and emotional issues which may appear in the body as pain or illness. It can also help to maintain good health and well-being in a proactive, preventative way.
